Terms
These terms set out how you may use SanAlert: the website sanalert.pl, the SanAlert apps and notifications. They are the terms (regulamin) referred to in Article 8(1)(1) of the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means (Dz. U. 2024, item 1513).
This is a translation. If it and the Polish version ever differ, the Polish version applies.
Who provides the services
The services are provided by Applied AI sp. z o.o., ul. Marcina Bielskiego 44C lok. 15, 37-700 Przemyśl, Poland, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register (KRS) kept by the District Court in Rzeszów, 12th Commercial Division, under KRS number 0001187092, tax number (NIP) 7952588091. This is not an official warning system
SanAlert is an unofficial service. It is not part of the public administration and does not replace sirens, Alert RCB, RSO messages or instructions from the authorities. When there is danger, listen to the sirens and the authorities, and follow Alert RCB and RSO messages. In an emergency, call 112.
What we provide
- The service: the website sanalert.pl, including the view for a screen (sanalert.pl/en/tv) and the box anyone may put on another website free of charge (SanAlert on your website), the SanAlert apps for iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, Android, Wear OS watches and Garmin watches, and the Home Assistant integration. They show the level of threat from the air for a place in Poland you choose, the map, RCB and RSO messages, “What happened”, night reports and the nearest shelter points. How the levels are worked out is on How it works.
- Notifications: on the website and in the iPhone and Android apps, and on iPhone also a Live Activity on the lock screen. They tell you about changes of the level at your places, from the level you choose.
All services are free. We keep no user accounts.
Technical requirements
- A device with internet access.
- The website: an up-to-date browser with JavaScript on, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Notifications on the website need a browser that supports them; on iPhone and iPad they work only after the site has been added to the home screen.
- The apps: a device with the system version the store gives (App Store, Google Play, Connect IQ). The Live Activity needs an iPhone with iOS 17.2 or later.
- The Home Assistant integration: a working Home Assistant.
Making and ending the agreement
- You use the service without registering. The agreement to use it is made when you open the website or an app, and ends when you close it.
- The agreement for notifications is made when you switch notifications on and allow them in the browser or on the phone. It ends when you switch them off: you can do that at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason. It also ends when we delete your record: when Apple, Google or your browser's push service reports that the delivery address no longer works (for example after the app is removed), or after 60 days in which the app or the website has not refreshed the record. Details are on the Privacy page.
- We may stop providing the services or change what they cover, for example when a data source stops being available. We will announce it on this page.
Rules of use
- You do not send us any content through the service. Providing unlawful content is prohibited, including in messages to us.
- You may not use the service against the law or disrupt it, for example by flooding the server with requests.
Data and liability
- The data comes from open sources, named at the bottom of every page, and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. We do not guarantee that the service will work without interruption, or that a notification will arrive in time: that also depends on your device, your network and the services of Apple, Google and the browsers.
- “Quiet” in SanAlert does not mean you are safe. When we have no current data, we say “No data”.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow a contract to limit, in particular consumer rights.
Complaints
If something does not work as these terms describe, write to [email protected] or by post to the address above. Say what the complaint is about, when the problem happened and on which device, and how we should reply. We reply within 30 days of receiving the complaint, the same way you sent it unless you ask for another.
Privacy
How we process data is described on the Privacy page.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the services, the data sources or the law change. We publish the new version on this page, with its date, at least 7 days before it takes effect, unless the law or the users' safety requires the change sooner. If you do not accept a change, you can switch notifications off and stop using the service at any time.
You can save or print these terms from your browser.
